Thank you God!!

Do you feel happy for someone when he or she dies? Is death always tragic? Though bereavement is always sad, somewhere deep within, I felt happy for my grandmother. She didn’t suffer, she didn’t lie there waiting, she never had to say good bye… she just left…

She was admitted to the hospital in the morning for a slight stomach upset.

“She’s perfectly fine and can be discharged soon” said the docs in the evening.

Behind the screens, God was having a good laugh at the folly of the docs! Only he knew…

But this time, I am thankful to him… he could have made things really worse… but he didn’t…

God, though you have taken someone dear to me again, this time, and mind you, just this time, thank you for making it less painful!

Sorry about your grandma.

Death of loved ones is sad..but a painful death is worse.I still cant forget the pain my granpa went thru with gangrenes. Incidentally he was a panchayath head and lived life like a King in our native village..seeing him at home was a miracle so seeing him bedridden that anesthetics was very painful...

At times used to think euthansia is a better way out..

@nautankey, yeah.. i agree with u.. my parents are doctors and i've seen all sorts of sufferings during my umpteen visits to the hospital! its really bad...
and i was a strong supporter of euthanasia until i realised u should not take what u cant give! what is a company announces a breakthru medicine for the condition the day after u administer euthanasia?! would we or the doctor be able to forgive ourselves for what we have done? maybe a breakthru medicine that would reduce all pain... that would be something... and that brings us to a paradox since the only such medicine available now is death itself!!

Sorry about your loss.

You know what, how much ever you are prepared for someone's death, like say due to a long drawn illness or something, the shock and the pain remains just the same.
